The Google Way: Give Engineers Room - New York Times
Great article ! I guess this helps understanding how Google became what it is today. I really hope such a work system is adopted on much larger scale. With a few people guiding these grouplets, this seems to have no drawbacks at all!
After working in IT for twenty years, I can attest that corporate culture still has a long way to go in France. And from what I hear the situation is pretty much the same in the USA; that's one of the reasons Dilbert is so popular.
Google seems to have taken the chaordic principles to heart, and I hope they succeed in applying them.
