I do agree with the author of this article. Using jargon (do English people also use the word volapuk?) is efficient to set up a wall between those who use this jargon, whether they understand what they are saying or not and those who do not understand. It may be used as an easy way to dominate people by trying to impress them.

Using jargon is also a way to build little communities (or groups) in a technical team (engineers in electronics vs engineers in signal processing).

During holidays, I heard a new buzzword: crowdsourcing (or how to do your R&D at no cost!)
